Tripp
I am Tripp & came into Rottie Rehab at 5 months old in November 2016. 'He's not a Rottie' I hear you all say.....nope, I came in with my bestest mate who is a Rottie but he's now been rehomed. Noooo I'm not upset because when I moved in I became really good pals with a chap called Freddy who I still play with every day....jumping on his head is always fun. So I was happy for my other mate to go live with other Rotties. Plus I have so much energy, I need different things to a Rott, I need lots more exercise & I need lots of mental stimulation.....I would make an ideal agility or Flyball dog. I'm obsessed with tennis balls when I'm out on a walk but if we don't take one with us I love to run around chasing new sniffs or birds. In the evening though I am happy to curl up on the sofa for snuggles & I do like to snuggle up in your bed too.
Tripp has now got the most fabulous home in a competitive agility family & lives with 6 other Collies so its perfect for him to be with his own breed & having all the physical & mental stimulation he needs.

Bella
This cheeky smiling girl is 18 month old Bella who came to Rottie Rehab due to changes in family circumstances. She is vaccinated, microchipped but not spayed yet (we will pay for that after her next season). Bella was very nervous on arrival here & wouldn't even come indoors on the first night preferring to stay outside even though the doors were left wide open for her. Within a week of being with the other Rotties, this little girl came out of her shell completely, her true personality shone through & what a cheeky personality it is too! Bella is very playful, she loves toys....tennis balls especially, she loves cuddles & follows you everywhere in case you might be doing something far more exciting than she is. She loves to help with the gardening....usually running around with a flower pot on her nose wanting to be chased by the other Rotties. Oh yes & what a water baby.....that's just the best fun EVER!!! Bella is great with other dogs, children & cats. She is still a little unsure of new people & often barks but NOT in an aggressive manor at all. Bella goes out to new situations regularly to get used to new people & take her out of her comfort zone.....she goes to pub beer gardens, the seaside (where she gets an ice cream for being so good) where her behaviour has been impeccable. Bella also travels beautifully in the car.
Bella has found her forever home with Coco who she met at Rottie Rehab when she first came in so they are very happy together because they know each other.

Kobe
This is Kobe, he is a 3 year old castrated, microchipped & fully vaccinated male Rottie with a tail. Kobe came to us through no fault of his own & was due to a very sad change of circumstances for his owner who loved him desperately & you could see the bond between them. Kobe has settled in well & is enjoying life with his pals to the full. You would never believe he was 3 years old as he is very playful, loves his walks, toys & more than anything loves his cuddles!! Kobe would quite happily be around humans all day. He is great with other dogs, brilliant on & off the lead, has been around children at times although not lived with any so we would suggest older children as he is quite bouncy at times. Kobe loves the water & has learnt to swim although it is an unusual technique he simply has the best fun ever bless him. He does love human company because he's been left for many hours on his own while his owner worked so needs someone who's going to be around much of the time. Kobe is a very well balanced dog who is a pleasure to have around & we will miss him terribly. You have to meet Kobe to appreciate his fabulous nature.
Kobe has found a fabulous forever home here in Wiltshire with a lovely family who have their own business. Kobe goes to work every day & enjoys getting his daily cuddles from the boys in the workshop but his favourite place is with his mum in her warm office. He has lots of fun at lunchtime running around the surrounding fields & at weekends going off in the family camper van visiting exploring new places or just going to the pub beer garden.
We wish Kobe & his new family many years of fun & happiness together

Kassi
This is Kassi a lovely 18 month old female Rottie who was imported from Germany in 2015 so she is passported, fully vaccinated & microchipped. She was brought over as a breeding bitch but was luckily rescued by a lady who paid for her so she could take her away from that life. She was desperately thin & her claws were very long so it was obvious she had no life. Unfortunately, due to work commitments Kassi wasn't getting the life she needed so came to us at Rottie Rehab to find her a forever home. Luckily for Kassi we knew just the home for her!
Kassi has found her forever home with a wonderful family in Kent who have had 2 of our Rotties in the past......Heidi & Evan. Sadly, Heidi went to Rainbow Bridge recently & can never be replace but Kassi is beginning to fill a gap left by gorgeous Heidi. Ian, Tracey & the rest of the family have 2 little dogs & Evan (who's about 609 years old now!!) yet Kassi has been accepted by everyone & has fitted in well. She does get very jealous when anyone else gets attention but is learning that she has to share her humans & everyone gets attention. Kassi loves playing, is fabulous off lead, on lead training is still ongoing but her character is beginning to blossom.....& how could anyone resist that face!!
We wish Kassi lots of happiness in her new forever home & look forward to the updates.

Frankie & Benny (now Bernie)
Frankie & Bernie, 18 month old litter brother & sister, came into Rottie Rehab through no fault of their own. It was a family separation & neither party could keep the dogs but unfortunately the person that had them just stopped feeding them. You can not see from the photo how bad Bernie is but every single bone in his body was visible. He is a sensitive dog but both dogs were absolutely ravenous & desperate for anything that was edible......heartbreaking to see them like that. They have the most gentle of natures although Frankie is much more confident than Bernie. They are both incredibly nervous & hand shy which usually means only one thing!! Bernie is castrated but Frankie's not spayed yet, nor have their vaccinations been kept up to date.
Frankie & Bernie have got a fabulous new home with Graham & Debbie on a 5 acre plot with a house right in the middle in Devon. What lucky pups they are as the entire property is securely fenced so they can run & play to their hearts content. Due to them being so thin & nervous Frankie will not be spayed until after her next season to give her the chance to settle in & come out of her shell more. This gorgeous pair have certainly landed on their paws, they are so spoiled & loved. They even have their own settee suite in the lounge which they have taken to VERY quickly. Frankie & Bernie are being given all the love & TLC they could want to make them feel safe & happy. They are on 4 meals a day to help them gain weight which is coming on really well & especially enjoy their roast lunch on a Sunday!! They love going out in the truck with mum to run errands & to the shops in the village, enjoying the freedom to run, play & explore on all their land, have lots of toys & enjoy helping their new dad who works from home.

Tyson (Mr Ty)
Hello everyone, my name is Tyson but everyone calls me Mr T or Mr Ty because Tyson really doesn't suit me at all !!!
I am 4 years old, fully vaccinated, microchipped, castrated & regularly wormed & deflead now.
I am a cruelty case that came into the lovely humans at Rottie Rehab in August. My original dad is in prison & his drug addict girlfriend (who has been banned from keeping animals) & her mates were so horrible to me I would rather have died than be there. I was always so hungry, I was so thin & felt very weak. I was either shut outside with no water & food trying not to stand in my own poo or shut in a downstairs loo that had no windows so was pitch black. On the rare occasion of being let out I was beaten so badly for no reason, tormented by the kids & treated like a toy & her friend was seen in town once with me putting his hands around my neck, lifting me off the floor strangling me then letting me drop to the ground barely able to breath.
Luckily, I have a super Nanny who wanted me to have a better life & managed to secure me a place at Rottie Rehab where she said I would have everything I ever needed & would have the life a gorgeous boy like me deserved. She was my guardian angel & took me out of there. Rottie Rehab came to collect me & drove me to my wonderful foster family in Leicester. They wanted me to have the time to recover from my traumatic existence, feel the security & love I'd never had & learn what life was all about in a quiet environment without lots of other dogs around so I could be spoiled & have ALL the love they had to offer.
Once I had been to hospital & had my manly bits & dew claws removed, I was referred to one of the top specialist Ophthalmologist Consultants in the country where I had two operations carried out on each of my eyes as I was in terrible pain, I had been since I had matured at about 18 months old. The vet said my eyes were the worst they had seen & my left eye lens is damaged due to having been left for so long. Great news is, a month on I have been given the all clear by the surgeon, he says the operations were a success so I won't need further surgery. It feels so wonderful to be pain free, I can't remember when it didn't hurt.
As a special treat & to help me get over my ordeals my wonderful foster parents took me to the seaside in their caravan for my very first holibob! Wow the beach was huuuuuge & the sea air smelled so good. I played in the sea & even had my own ice cream....never tasted anything so yummy!! I was so well behaved, loved everyone I met & made some new woofy friends that I played with. I even didn't bother with some quacky things that lived on the campsite!
I am such a happy boy now, my eyes are fixed, I have decent food in my tummy & I know I am going to get more, I have gained a good amount of weight (have to watch how many ice creams now!), I can't get any of those horrible diseases now, I don't have any of those nasty wiggly worms or fleas, my coat is shiny & feels so good & I don't have itchy skin any more or bald patches where I used to chew myself. I have people that come to visit me, yes me, who love me & my little Nana, well she adores me & when she baby sits me when my foster parents go out, I just sit on her for hours.....not sure she can actually move but she cuddles me anyway. I am now a bouncy happy boy who has developed a personality, I've learnt what toys are & how to play. I'm great off lead, my recall is superb (especially if you have my ball), although I do need a tad more lead training as I get so excited to be out that I do pull, I love to learn & will do anything to please. Oh & I'm also very good with other dogs.
My foster family have restored my faith in humans & I love them with every hair on my body. They are always there for me & nothing is too much trouble even all the post op after care of eye drops, antibiotics both in my eyes & the edible ones, not to mention bathing my eyes 3 times a day. I cant explain what it feels like going from wanting to die to being the happiest Rottie alive! They even slept on the sofa for the first few nights because I'm scared of the dark. The saddest thing they say I do is if I think I have done something wrong when my foster parents are out, I will run outside & hide when they come home because I think I am going to be beaten & not understand why. I won't come in even if they coax me & if they come towards me speaking softly I completely wet myself with fear but they kneel down, put their arms around me, cuddle me & tell me everything is going to be ok but it still happens. I am also terrified of rooms with closed doors due to being shut in a small space but my foster parents have worked out that rather than closing the door they have put a stair gate there which I never jump & I am happy to just lay there until they come back in the room because I can see through the gate so its not scary for me.
I have an amazing new home near Andover with a couple who love me more than life itself, there is nothing they wont do for me & I have the best of everything. They have completely adapted their lives to fit around me which makes me feel so loved & special. They have even bought a new car just because they have me because its bigger so I can stretch out in it! They both work but even if they left me I wouldn't be alone for too long but no I have a lovely doggie walker who picks me up every day & I go bounding around the Salisbury Plains with a lovely Doberman bitch & we get on famously. I'm up to my ideal weight now & my coat is so glossy, it feels so much nicer to wear! Dad even takes me to see all my pals up at Rottie Rehab every Wednesday & I go out walking with them. Mum takes me every Sunday to classes where I have lots of new pals too & the teacher says I'm so well behaved, I've just completed my Bronze Good Citizen Scheme Award & now I'm working on my Silver.....Mum & Dad are so proud of me! Dad has got me a ramp to get up into the cars with & a thick sofa cushion that goes everywhere so I can protect my joints when I jump out of the cars. I am so very happy & never dreamed life could be so good.
Its so lovely to see Mr Ty now after everything he has been through. A huge thank you to the surgeons who operated on his eyes, to Alison & Martin for all the love & support they gave Ty while in their foster care & to Gary & Sarah for giving him such a fabulous home.....I can't thank you enough, he truly deserves it as he is one in a million & to see him now is the most rewarding part x

Vinnie
This is gorgeous Vinnie, he's a 3 year old. Vinnie is still at his home in Birmingham as we thought it would be better for Vinnie to be rehomed from there if possible with less upheaval. He is being rehomed through no fault of his own. Unfortunately, his family's circumstances have changed which means Vinnie is on his own for long periods & his owner feels that he needs someone who can give him a more fulfilling life.Vinnie is a complete softy with a huge heart, he makes people smile wherever he goes & has a fantastic temperament.
Vinnie has now found a fabulous new home with a family in Devon (just up the road from Roxy one of our other Rotties recently rehomed in Devon.....small world!) where he is thoroughly spoiled & enjoying life to the full. Vinnie goes on amazing walks on Dartmoor where he can run & play to his hearts content then goes home to sleep on his personalised memory foam bed (which looks more like a mini sofa)! A perfect home for such a lovely boy. We wish Vinnie & his family many happy years of fun & mischief together.

Ruby
Beautiful Ruby is another of our cruelty cases. Many may have heard about her story on facebook. She is 2 years old & has the most wonderful temperament you could ask for although very scared. Ruby came to us from a vets in Somerset where she was safe & under protection from her owners. In a nut shell Ruby got pregnant 2 weeks after being bought off gumtree for £50. She had 19 puppies who were all taken from her & then starved to death & as you can see from the above photo, Ruby was left in an awful state but the vets managed to get her signed over to them. Unfortunately, the owners refused to bring the puppies in & subsequently they ALL died. For Ruby's full story please see Rottie Rehab's Facebook page. Having had a long stay at the vets to have all her medical needs tended to Ruby came into Rottie Rehab to gain confidence, learn to socialise with other dogs & to put on more weight. Ruby learnt to play with the other dogs, nearly self combusted with excitement at being able to run around the Wiltshire countryside off lead learning about smells & wildlife, you could see her whole demeanor relax & her personality grow. Most importantly gaining a little bit of confidence every day that she wasn't going to be hit.
Ruby was adopted by an amazing couple in Wales who are Rottie experienced & had adopted from us at Rottie Rehab before. Liam & Sarah have been so patient & understanding of all Rubys issues, bearing in mind she has suffered the most traumatic greif of being pregnant then all her babies being taken away from her & she never sees them again. No one can explain whats happened to her & despite what anyone says about the way a dog thinks, her body still had to go through all of that when she was already so desperately thin then lactate with no puppies to feed, I'm sorry but that's a trauma I don't wish upon anyone especially an innocent dog! They have shown her so much love to make her feel loved, safe & secure. No one will ever hurt this stunning girl either physically or emotionally again. She even saved Liam's life within the first week of being there. Ruby has developed into a stunning girl, her personality has blossomed, she is gaining in confidence daily, she has become a really cheeky character & has gained 15kgs in weight. Ruby loves meeting people that come to the house or out on her walks, everyone who meets her adores her. She loves her walks especially in the woods, has learnt to play with toys now & has a huge collection, she even gets a new teddy every week!! But Ruby's favourite thing is helping with the gardening.....specialising in pot plants! Dont think mum & dad agree though as she can often be found either covered in compost with her head deep in the compost bag or running around with a plastic plant pot in her mouth wanting to be chased.....great game! We wish Ruby many many years of happiness with Liam & Sarah in her forever home!

Roxy
Hello everyone, my name is Roxy. As you can see from my photo I am an exceptionally stunning little female Rottie. I am vaccinated, microchipped but not spayed yet. I am 5 years old but I really don't act my age, I am very playful, love my toys especially balls but I am also obedient & know all my basic commands......although I get the typical Rottie selective hearing from time to time! Heehee. I love people, I'm good with other dogs & I can live with older children but haven't been around young ones so probably best I don't live with any....especially as I would probably knock them over. I'm a very good girl but my mummy & daddy humans have split up so they can't look after me anymore as they both have to work long hours now.
I have now found my forever home with a lovely family in Plymouth. I go for long walks on the beach which is great fun, although not sure about the water that keeps trying to chase me!!!! I also have lots of other walks & like going in the river & playing with my ball. The children I now live with love me lots & I like playing with them & making sure they are all safe. I'm a very happy girl & enjoying my new life lots!!!

Denzel
Denzel came to Rottie Rehab from a lovely family who rescued him from a terrible life. At 10 months old he had had a few homes, was terribly thin & needed a stable, loving forever home. Although very much loved by this new family, they felt they couldn't give Denzel what he needed so they drove him all the way from the other side of the country to us here in Wiltshire. Denzel is an amazingly loving dog, he is brilliant with everyone including dogs when he is introduced properly & is off lead. Unfortunately, it was clear to see very quickly that poor Denzel has been used for dog baiting so when he is on the lead & sees another dog he turns into Beelzebub himself but everyone knows it is not his fault.
Denzel has been rehomed near Lincoln to a wonderful couple with an adult son. They absolutely adore him & he has an amazing life. Kevin works abroad for long periods at a time so Sharon has Denzel all to herself & they have an amazing bond......Denzel also sleeps in Kevins place on the bed (not sure where Kev's going to sleep when he gets back!!!). Sharon & Denzel have found a wonderful trainer who they see every week to help work on his issues with other dogs when he is on the lead & they are coming on leaps & bounds.....they will be walking down the high street before you know it!!

Zac & Luca
Hello, our names are Zac & Luca. We are full brothers although not litter brothers. I (Zac) am 2 years old & very slightly taller than my older brother Luca who is 3 years old. We are both incredibly handsome of course! We are castrated, microchipped, vaccinated, wormed & deflead.
We have been owned by our Daddy since we were puppies & he has taken very good care of us. We haven't done anything wrong but Daddy has to move abroad & he thinks it would be too much for us. Daddy says we are huge cuddle monsters & love to be cuddled & made a fuss of. We also love to play with toys & of course each other.
We now live with a great new mum & dad in Chesterfield, where we are having so much fun. We go walking for miles every day & love to roll in fox poo....dad's not so keen on it!!! We have had snow up here too & just love to chase each other around & run as fast as we can. We are very happy & healthy, have the luxury of memory foam beds if we are not taking up the whole sofa & we love our new lives very much! Zac has decided he doesn't like birds landing in our garden, on our fence, in the field at the bottom of our garden or pretty much anywhere really.......he has to shout at them, can't quite see the point myself, sleeeeeeep is a much better option! Luca signing off :)

Bert
Hello everyone, my name is Bert! I am approximately 18 months old & I'm a very handsome Rottie (with a bit of black labrador in me but shhhh don't tell anyone) so my tan markings are very dark but I still have my big Rottie head & the tell-tale huge Rottie smile!! I am very Rottie like in behaviour too, I love lots of cuddles, toys & treats. I am very friendly, am great with other dogs, good on & off lead & basically an all round good boy. I was found as a stray so you humans don't know my history, I have tried to tell you but you're not very intelligent & don't understand what I'm trying to tell you.
I now live with my new mum & dad in a lovely cottage in Banbury. I go to work with dad every day where I sit in the office & keep warm or I go & help him with the boats, there's lots of space there to run around & play. I say hello to everyone who comes & fuels their boats or who comes into the office. Everyone loves me because I'm so friendly. I have a fab life now & when we get home from work we have our supper, then dad & I have a snooze on the sofa together! I have a huge log fire to lay infront of too......I never knew life could be this good! I even have my own passport now & go on holiday with mum & dad to France in our huge mobile home & we have the bestest holidays ever! I'm also learning to be a canal boat dog so we can all go out as a family.....life is just great!

Buster
Hello, my name is Buster! I am about 18 months, I am castrated, microchipped, fully vaccinated & have no worms or fleas....yay! As you can see I am a VERY happy boy & that's because a very nice lady found me roaming the streets in Hampshire, bothered to stop & rescue me from being run over by a big lorry. I was a very scared little boy, I hadn't eaten anything decent since I could remember, I was so very thin you could see all my bones, my coat was falling out & I have been beaten really badly by a horrible human in the past so I am still incredibly hand shy.
A lovely lady from Conwy, North Wales fell in love with me & I now live with her & her other two dogs. I'm a very happy boy because I have my forever home. We live a stones throw from the beach & we go walking there all the time. I'm not scared of the sea & waves anymore so I go running in & out of it & its such fun with my pals. My new mum takes me to visit lots of people & they all love me & I love everyone. My favourite toy is still a ball....I can chase it for hours! I've put on some weight & am much healthier. Thank you to everyone for finding me my new home.....I've been told I can stay here forever!!!

Rupert
Hi everyone, my names Rupert. I'm a very cheeky, incredibly good looking (even if I do say so myself), 11 month old male Rottie looking for my furever home. I am very loving, like lots of attention & like to be with my human because I'm very nosey!
I was owned by a human who beat me regularly then one day he beat me to within an inch of my life when a lovely human reported him to the RSPCA. Emaciated & with many wounds I was taken to The Mayhew Animal Home where I met lots of humans that loved me, cared for me & mended me, they gave me lovely stuff called food regularly, made me warm & feel safe. I stayed there for 2 months, it was an amazing place with amazing humans. When I got physically well (I now weigh 40kgs), I came to stay at Rottie Rehab where I'm getting emotional training & learning to be a dog. The humans here say I'm a very good boy, I can sit, stay & wait for my food, I now walk very well on the lead & love playing with other dogs, although rather boisterously at times.
I'm now an Essex boy with a wonderful family who love me very much. We have a lovely house & an enormous garden with a big swimming pool. Its a really sociable house so we have lots of friends coming round & when they all get in the pool I run around the edge trying to get the splashes.....I haven't been brave enough to jump in yet though! Everyone who comes to the house loves me & I get lots of fuss & cuddles which I love lots! My dad takes me on lovely long walks where I meet other dogs that I can play with. I'm still trying to show dad that I AM a lapdog but I don't think he's entirely convinced yet! There's always someone here to keep me company & dad has a massive workshop & office at the bottom of the garden so we go down there & do boys stuff together.....it's great!

Tyson3
This is gorgeous Tyson, he is 3 to 4 years old. Despite his name, this boy has a heart of gold, very obedient, walks beautifully on & off the lead, excellent recall & although very bouncy & playful has great respect so calms down as soon as he is told to! Tyson is very set in his ways & is a stubborn boy when it comes to willpower! Hes a very impressive looking boy but likes things his way! He's a muti-toed wonder too as he has 6 toes on each back foot!
Despite him having been around small children, Tyson needs to be rehomed with older children as due to being a big bouncy boy could knock a little one over quite easily. He likes some dogs but not all so its trial & error!
Tyson has found a wonderful forever home in Nottinghamshire, where he has two female Rotties to look after. His new Mummy has found him initially quite a steep learning curve even though has owned Rotties for many years. Thankfully, she has stuck with him & assures us she wouldn't be without him for the world lol. He loves the water & also has a big car tyre he likes to carry around with him......although hes still trying to persuade mum to let him bring it in the house!! He is a very happy boy & is incredibly well loved & looked after.

Snoop
This is our gorgeous Snoop, the famous ginger Rottie! Unfortunately, Snoops adopted dad decided to look for a flat that doesn't take dogs.....do you think owners would give up their kids as easily??
Anyway, this stunning boy (his photos doesn't do him justice) has a Rottie head, a Rottie body, is the size & build of a Rottie but is ginger....Snoop is approximately 3 years old, he is fantastic with children, other dogs & people. He loves his cuddles, toys, walks, going in the car & life in general. Snoop has one of the biggest hearts we have ever seen, all he wants to do is please you. The saying 'one in a million' was invented with this dog in mind, it is a privilege to be in his company.
Snoop has found his wonderful forever home with a lovely retired couple in West Glamorgan. He now happily lives with them & a cat, he is surrounded by open countryside & mountains so has some amazing walks. Snoop is a real star & loves going to the shops in the car, he also goes to the dog groomers for his regular bath & nail trim where he is very popular & somewhat of a celebrity now. He is loved everywhere he goes & has the most amazing life compared to the rotten start he had.

Sasha
My name is Sasha! I'm a 9 month old Rottie x Lurcher. I am being rehomed because my mummy doesn't have enough time to look after me as she would like to & because she loves me very much she wants to do what's best for me so I have come to Rottie Rehab to play with all my new black n tan friends until someone wants to give me a forever home. I love everyone, including children & all other dogs. I am good on & off the lead, my training is coming on well & my recall is getting really good too.....especially when there's food involved! I love to play with toys & I'm very affectionate so love my cuddles, I need an active home because of the Lurcher in me where I'm going to get lots of exercise & socialising.
Sasha (now called Meg) has found a wonderful home with a wonderful family & now lives in Portsmouth where the beach is literally a stones throw from the house! Meg loves her long walks & sometimes goes running with her Dad which she loves too as the Lurcher in her means she is on the go constantly! She loves the beach where she can chase the gulls & play with other dogs....although they will never catch her! Meg lives with another gorgeous rescue cross called Seamus. Meg has taught Seamus how to play & come out of his shell a bit while Seamus is teaching Meg a few of his calmer traits.......a life long lesson me thinks me with this young pup! Megs mum works from home as an artist so Meg has lots of company & often wonders in to her mum's studio with a toy to distract her! Both Meg & Seamus have a wonderful new life & we look forward to meeting up for more swimming in the summers.

Bear2
What do you mean the floor is for dogs?!
Gorgeous Bear came to us in July! At 10 months old he is good with other dogs, people & children, all he wants to do is climb on your lap & be cuddled! Bear loves all kinds of balls & sticks when hes out for a walk although if another dog
steals it from him he doesn't do anything about it just comes back to you for a cuddle. Bear is great on the lead although does get excited & barks at other dogs when he sees them but this is only because he wants to play with them....so is currently learning a bit of doggy etiquette! His recall is excellent & his basic commands are also good (sit, down, stay etc).
Bear has been adopted by a family in Thatcham where he lives with an older female Staffie called Brooke. Bear has settled in well & is adored by all the family. He is thoroughly spoiled which he loves & is leading a very happy life. He still has issues with other dogs when he is on the lead but the family are brilliant with him & work around that. Bear & Brooke love each other very much & play beautifully together. Another happy ending for one of our lovely Rotties.

Rebah
Rebah (an anogram of Rehab) is approximately 10 months old. She came to us from the RSPCA hospital in London as she had been thrown out of a moving vehicle on the M1 & was suffering from head trauma & other minor injuries, cut & vruises. Rebah spent some time there recovering from her physical injuries then came to us to
deal with her emotional ones. Rebah struggles meeting strangers due to her ordeal & also chases cars. Once Rebah has met you she is the most wonderful little girl you could possibly meet, she is so loving & cuddly, loves her toys & will chase a ball for hours, good with other dogs & she briefly spent time in a foster home with 2 children & was brilliant with them.
Rebah has been adopted by a couple in Caerphilly in Wales & what a wonderful life she has now, spoilt rotten & loved to death this girl has really landed on her paws! She gets 3 to 4 walks a day which involve going to the beach or the forest or to play with all her new doggy friends in the local fields before coming home for a quick nap followed by playtime with her zillions of toys she has. Since Rebah has been in a secure & safe family environment & been given the love & life she deserves she has become a completely different dog, confident, calm & self assured. She meets other dogs & people on & off lead every day on her walks & hasn't put a paw wrong, she is happy & greets them all with a waggy tail & lots of licks.....who could ask for more??
Please view Rebah's progress on our Rottie Rehab facebook page as she often posts updates on her antics which makes for very amusing reading.....Rebah has developed a great sense of humour!!!

Floyd2
Little Floyd came to Rottie Rehab in May 2013. He is 7 months old, fully vaccinated & microchipped although he is too young to be castrated yet. Floyds owners situation changed & she contacted Rottie Rehab as she knew she couldn't give him the life he deserved because she worked long hours. This little man owes everything to her for doing the right thing by him even though she loved him.
Floyd really gained in confidence with the other Rotties around him here at Rottie Rehab & became a real character, he is so very loving, is good with children, loves being with other dogs & is scared of cats!! Apart from food, his favourite things are toys, meeting new people, going for walks so he can explore new sniffs & having lots of cuddles.
Floyd has found his forever home with a lovely retired couple & their black labrador Millie in the Forest of Dean in Gloucestershire where he enjoys some stunning walks & playing with Millie in the woods. He also makes himself very much at home on the sofa where he likes to cuddle up to his new mum & dad. We wish them all every happiness together.

Bruce
Meet Bruce, a stunning Rottie cross, he is approximately 12 months old, castrated, microchipped & fully vaccinated. Bruce came in from a pound to a rescue near Rottie Rehab in October but as Rotties are very emotional dogs & hate being in kennels, Bruce was struggling being in a kennel so we were asked to help find him his forever home. As soon as we saw this picture, our hearts melted.....how could we say 'no'!
Well great news for Bruce, he now has a wonderful forever home in Swindon. Someone contacted Rottie Rehab & we put them in touch with Mutts with Friends who had Bruce. They met him, fell in love, took him out a couple of times for a walk with their other dog, had him over the Easter weekend for a home trial & we are thrilled to say he never went back & they adopted him. Bruce has calmed down so much since being part of a family again & he is very happy. We wish both Bruce & his new family many happy years together.

Beau
Beau is the most stunning 3 year old large male Rottie & was up for adoption through no fault of his own. Beau was a much loved pet & belonged to a couple who are friends of Rottie Rehab so he is very well known to us. Beau is a very impressive male with excellent pedigree, he has never had any ailments, he is incredibly affectionate, loves other dogs, good with children & is very well behaved on & off lead. Beau is a very talkative boy but if you know Rotties you will know this is a common Rottie trait.
Beau has now found a wonderful forever home in Bedfordshire with a lovely family who have had Rotties before & Debbie (Beau's new mum) is qualified in dog behaviour so you can't get away with things now Beau!! Beau's new friends include a rabbit, some chickens & a horse down the road at the stables as well as lots of new dog friends on the beautiful walks there are around his new home. Apparently, he's gone back into puppy mode & is being really playful. We wish Beau & his new family all the happiness for their future together.

Star
Star came to us from the local dogs home in November 2012 at approximately 8 months old, she had been taken off her owners for neglect. Star came in incredibly thin & clearly hadn't been fed regularly by the way she ate her food. She also had a one inch cut to her right ear (I don't even want to know who took a pair of scissors to it!) Star is incredibly affectionate & loves to cuddle up with you on the sofa, loves to please & keen to learn, is learning very quickly about walking on a lead, recall is excellent, retrieves & drops on command, She loves children & other dogs although not overly keen on small dogs it is becoming apparent! Star found a wonderful forever home with Tracey & her son in Cirencester the week before Christmas, she has settled in beautifully. Tracey is doing really well with Star's ongoing training & they are the best of friends. Star really has landed on her paws & got the best Christmas present by getting her forever home. You can follow Star's progress on our Rottie Rehab facebook page.
Ollie & Murphy
Ollie & Murphy are two gorgeous litter brothers, 12 months old, English Springer Spaniels, they are castrated, microchipped, fully vaccinated etc. These two came to us as the owner had to have a double hip replacement so was unable to give them what they needed. They have been very well looked after & loved, they are brilliant on & off lead, well socialised so good with other dogs & children. Ollie & Murphy have really landed on their paws finding their new home in Lustleigh, Devon with Trevor & Lindsey. A fabulous couple who are very active & have had Springers before so know what the breed needs in relation to exercise & training. A stunning house & grounds for Ollie & Murphy to play ball in. The village is picturesque with lots of beautiful walks with woodlands for the boys to run around in & find new sniffs everywhere not to mention a river as both love to swim & to top it all a local village dog friendly pub......what more could the boys want! I know Ollie & Murphy will be very happy there & wish them all much fun & happiness together.
Treacle (previously Lexi)
Lexi at Rottie Rehab
This cute little girl was found as a stray at 5 weeks old in Bristol. She was picked up by Bristol Dogs home & was really very poorly. They got her back to health & asked us to take her on to find her a good home. As a very small pup she soon became known as Little Legs which then became Little Lexi. Lexi has a huge personality & is scared of nothing, shes a dainty girl with the heart of a lion (or so she thinks!), she loves cuddles & is learning basic commands very well. After a short stay with her foster home with Bella & Kesh (below on this page) she went to a fabulous new home in Hertfordshire with a lovely family who already have two 12 month old Boxer girls. She now has acres & acres of land to play in, no roads nearby & a trout river running through the garden!!! Life's going to be a good one for this young puppy in her new forever home.
Roxy & her 5 Pups - Teddy, Bear, Bramble, Penny & Lily
These six delightful guys & girls came into Rottie Rehab on 24 May 2012 from Bristol Dogs Home. Roxy had been found as a stray incredibly thin & quite stressed. No one knew she was pregnant until she gave birth on 20 May 2012 to five very large puppies. The puppies had taken all the goodness from mum so Roxy was quite poorly. The dogs home asked us to take them & find good homes for them which is exactly what we did. All the puppies have been microchipped, flead, wormed & fully vaccinated. Part of the adoption process with puppies is that the new owners will get the puppies spayed/ castrated at the appropriate time & Rottie Rehab will cover the costs. Roxy has been spayed prior to rehoming. Roxy & Teddy have gone to a lovely home in Southampton, Bear & Lily have also gone to a home together in Oxfordshire, Patrick (previously Bramble) has a wonderful home in Cornwall & Penny is very happy in her new home in Kent. We get regular updates on their progress which is lovely but the best part is that they all keep in contact with each other on facebook to compare notes.......bet you didn't know Rotties knew how to use facebook! lol
Zak & Roxy
Zak & Roxy learning basic commands
Zak & Roxy (brother & sister) came to Rottie Rehab from a yard in Sheffield where they had no exercise, socialisation, toys or even beds. They had even had a litter together while at the yard. Both are incredibly large dogs & came into us very overweight. Completely different characters Zak likes to make out hes scarey by barking at other dogs but hes really a big softie & Roxy is dominant for a female & on the go the whole time with a very high prey drive. Having no social skills & been living in a concrete yard it was a huge culture shock for them when we brought them down to the Wiltshire countryside. Watching them try & jump over every blade of grass in a field brought much amusement to everyone who met them but they soon got the hang of it. They both had to lose a stone (11kg ish) before we could get them castrated/spayed which wasn't too hard with the right diet & exercise. Zak & Roxy now live with a lovely family in Bristol who adore them & we visit them regularly to help with ongoing training & cuddles! Zak has also now lost 2 stone & they both look amazing. Zak would rather lay on the sofa or sit on your lap & be cuddled than go for a walk & he hates the rain (closes his eyes which isn't helpful), Roxy is a little more aloof, shes always on the go, loves going out on walks & looking for new sniffs. They really are a fabulous pair of dogs & are so lucky to find their forever home with Al & Maggie after being with Rottie Rehab for more than a year.
Oscar (previously Henson)
Henson chilling watching the others play
Well what can I say about this gorgeous boy, he really is one in a million. Henson is only 12 months old yet he is so gentle, loving, obedient & brilliant with all other animals & children. He wants to please so much that he does silly little things just to make you smile. Henson came in from a lady in Hereford who had rescued him from her neighbour who treated him dreadfully. Unfortunately she couldn't keep but he melted her heart the short time she had him as he does with everyone he meets. Henson is castrated, microchipped & fully vaccinated. Unfortunately, while Henson was with us he ruptured his cruciate ligament playing with another Rottie so he had surgery & made a good recovery. Henson now lives in a lovely are in South Wales by the sea (which he thinks is great as he loved to swim) with two Rottie bitches who he loves & plays with all the time. He really has landed on his paws with this forever home.
Heidi (2)
Heidi in foster
Heidi came to us in March 2011 when she was 13 months old & had been looked after exceptionally well by an older gentleman. Unfortunately, he was unable to give her the exercise she needed so asked us to find her a good home. Heidi is spayed, microchipped & fully vaccinated Heidi is obedient, walks beautifully on & off lead, fantastic with other dogs & children. The only thing Heidi doesn't like is cats! She is a very loving girl who is easy going, nothing phases her. Heidi loves swimming & playing with her toys. Heidi now lives in the middle of the Carmarthenshire countryside in West Wales with Emily & John who adore her. She goes everywhere with them, has lots of doggy friends that come round to play & when at home has acres & acres of land to play in. As you can see from the photo below, Heidi is very happy & has a wonderful forever home.
Ellie
Ellie enjoying the countryside
Ellie came to Rottie Rehab on 19 March 2011 from a lady that was moving & was unable to keep her. Ellie is 3 years old, she is spayed, fully vaccinated & microchipped. She is great with other dogs, cats & children & once she gets to know you will follow you to the end of the earth. Ellie was being fostered in Bristol by Clair, an ex vet nurse, who has another female Rottie, Nellie & a Spaniel, Maisie. This clever little Rottie fell in love with Clair from day one & would be really naughty every time a potential new owner would come to meet her to ensure that they wouldn't take her away! So, just as Ellie had planned all along, she decided that Clair would adopt her & give her the forever home she wanted with her pals Nellie & Maisie. Rotties are far smarter than we give them credit for sometimes!!!!
Floyd
Floyd at Rottie Rehab
Floyd came to us in June 2010, he had been handed in to the RSPCA in London. At 9 months old he was very underweight. We rehomed him in Devon but unfortunately the family's situation changed so he has come back to us.
Floyd has gone to a lovely family in Chippenham, Wiltshire where he has made himself very much at home. This cheeky chap is not a morning boy so will often be found still asleep on the sofa well after everyone else has got up but he is loved very much & is keeping up with his cheeky antics which makes him the adorable chap that he is. We wish Floyd & his family many years of happiness together.

Zeus
Zeus, a 4 year old male Rottie, came to us from Lancashire on 23 March 2011, he had been in kennels for 5 months as his owner no longer wanted him through no fault of his own & he was losing weight rapidly as he was very stressed being in there. He is a gorgeous boy who loves to play & have cuddles, he is incredibly loyal & affectionate but needed a home that understands big breeds as he would push the boundaries given half a chance.
Zeus has now found happiness with a lovely couple in Coventry who are used to large breeds & are giving him the love, care, kindness & understanding this gorgeous boy deserves. Zeus has been on his first holiday to the beach already with his new owners, he was very well behaved & had a fantastic time digging holes in the sand, getting wet & helping anyone who needed it to eat their ice creams! We wish them many years of happiness together.

Humphrey (previously Leon)
Humphrey in the snow
Humphrey (or Humph to his friends) came to Rottie Rehab at 14 months old because he needed a better life. He was living outside in the cold with no one to play or socialise with. Although he wasn't house trained or had mixed with other dogs he settled beautifully into a fabulous foster home with another of our adopted Rotties Kesh, a female Rottie Bella & a grumpy Jack Russell called Biscuit. Thanks to the familys wonderful work with him, he was house trained within two days & learning all the basic commands very well. He is very eager to learn, loves to please & is the biggest cuddle monster about. Because he has had no previous training he is like a 12 week old puppy in an adults body! A huge thank you to his foster family Dean, Sally, Nick, Andy, Hannah & Emma, oh & the Nans who have given him such a wonderful start to his new life.
Humph is now in a wonderful forever home in Tavistock with Jackie & Nick, Theo (a partially sighted Shih Tzu), 3 cats & Norman & Daisy (the pigmy goats). He is having a great time learning & experiencing new things every day. He is quite obsessed with the goats & cats so that training is quite slow but progress is being made (although I think Jackie & Nick are more tired than Humph!). Humphrey is making lots of new friends on his daily outings on the moor & in Tavistock town centre where he also walks regularly, he also loves to play with his four legged friends that live next door. He has also enrolled at dog training classes & is behaving beautifully (although selective hearing during recall seems to be quite common but lets face it, its far more fun to play with the other class mates than do as your told eh!)

Max
Max at his old house
Max came into Rottie Rehab on 23 November 2010 from a lady with four children who had become too ill to look after him. He is a lovely 23 month old, small, male Rottie with dark markings who is quite nervous until he gets to know you. He is fabulous with children of all ages & other dogs. Max was only with us for a short while before finding a super home in Witney with a lovely couple who have small female Boxer called Cally but who had unfortunately just lost their last Rottie only recently. Max has settled in to his new home & enjoying playing with Cally & living life to the full. We are kept updated regularly & are told that he's coming on leaps & bounds & learning every day. Although we know Max will never replace their previous Rottie we hope he fills a huge gap in their lives.
Buddy
Buddy at Rottie Rehab
This is Buddy. He is approximately 12 months old. He is very small for a male Rottie. As you can see he is now happily living in his foster home with the other dogs after being very poorly with Kennel Cough. Buddy has been badly let down in his short life and we took him from a pound where he was picked up as a stray. Little Buddy was never claimed so he was on the 'Put To Sleep' list. We are now thrilled to announce that Buddy has been adopted by a wonderful couple in Bradley Stoke who already have a small female Rottie called Morgan. Buddy has come out of his shell so much since he met Morgan, they love to do everything together including wanting to lay on their dad's lap in the evening. He has a lovely garden to play in & this quiet household has been just perfect for Buddy to gain in confidence. We couldn't have hoped for a better home for him. We wish the four of them a wonderful life together.
Kesh
Kesh
Kesh came to us on 24 September 2010 from London. He was living in an alley way at the side of a shop with no shelter or company. This stunning boy has the most amazing temperament & is very laid back & loving, he adore tennis balls & cuddles.Happily Kesh is now living with a wonderful new family, a lovely Rottie bitch called Bella & a grumpy Jack Russell called Biscuit in Melksham, Wiltshire. He has settled in really well & is enjoying his new life in a warm house & huge garden enormously. We at Rottie Rehab would all like to wish him and all his new family members the very best for the future. We hope they will all be very happy.

Storm
Storm is 3 years old bitch and came in with Harley due to a marriage break up. She has been brought up in a very loving home and is a very well balanced sweet natured dog. She is a joy to walk on the lead and her recall off lead is perfect. She has been excellent with every dog she has met and is very easy going. She adores cuddles and does a little dance when you stroke her back! Storm has now been adopted by a couple in Wokingham & she is now enjoying life with her new family.
We adopted Lexi in June 2010 and really fell for her cheekiness and affectionate nature that it wasn't long before we were ready to adopt another friendly little girl. After spending time with a local Rottie dog fosterer we began to see Storm in her care very often and loved her cool, calm and well balanced nature. It wasn't long before we decided Storm would be a great addition to the family and the perfect companion for our young rottie. Storm and Lexi have really started bonding well together. Lexi being only 15mths old looks up to her big sister Storm and is learning a lot from her daily. They love nothing better than to chase each other in the park, wrestle each other playfully and go to their dog class on Monday where Storm is showing her talents off by distracting everyone with her marching dance moves and not accepting anything less than garlic chicken or beef treats!
As you can see from the pictures the girls love their doggie beds and sometimes Storm will allow Lexi to share her bed which is lovely to see. They both love cuddles and are often seen snuggled up by resting their chins on your legs if you sit down on the rug. Storm loves the Dog Whisperer and will run up to the T.V. and cry when she see's any kind of animal, she also loves to watch football in front of the T.V with her daddy. As for the snow and going out in the car both girls love this and we spend as much time as possible taking them to new places and watching them play happily together. Storm is really now beginning to trust Lexi and more often nowadays they can be seen snuggled up together which is great to see. They get to see their other foster rottie friends and enjoy pack walks so their social life is really taking off.
Thanks again for the great job you do in finding new forever homes for gorgeous dogs like Storm, she has made our family complete and I hope other dogs in your care are lucky enough to capture the hearts of a new potential families as they all deserve a happy loving forever home.

Missie
This is Missie. She is an 18 month old bitch who's family have had to hand her in due to housing problems. Missie has been raised with very young children and we are told she is excellent with all of them. Missie went into a foster home on arrival & is described by her foster Mum as the perfect guest. She is living in the house with very young children which she was used to from her previous home, and is very gentle and loving with all of them. She is also living with another male Rottie who is getting on in years. She is very loving with him also and they share the same bed. But he doesn't want to play as much as she does! We are thrilled to hear that Missie's foster mum has decided to adopt her & so she will be staying in her in Milton Keynes home that she has got to know, which is always great news. Missie is now called Jessie. We wish her & her new family a fabulous life together.
Harley
Harley, a stunning 5 year old male Rottie, came to us in July 2010 with his 3 year old sister Storm due to a marriage break up. He has been brought up in a very loving home and is a fabulous chunky male with great bloodlines, he gets on well with other dogs & is quite happy pottering around doing his own thing. All at Rottie Rehab are pleased to say that Harley has now found a new home with a lovely couple in Swindon who also have a beautiful rescue Greyhound called Suzi who Harley loves. We know he will make a great addition to the family and would like to wish them all a very happy future together.
Harley has fitted right into our household, he's a great friend to Suzie our greyhound and he loves playing with his toys and going for walks. He's a great guard dog and nobody can get near our house without him letting us know but on the other hand he loves lots of cuddles from us. And on top of all that we found out he has another talent, he likes to sing (howl) along to Michael Buble!

Tara
Tara is now in a very happy home. We would like to wish all the best for her future with her new family.
Dylan
Dylan came to us on 05 August 2010. He had such a lonely life in a wood yard with no shelter & just a plastic bottle that he used to roll down a slope then go to the bottom, pick it up & go back to the top & do it again....no life for such an intelligent breed. Dylan is an incredibly stunning, large, gentle, incredibly loving & loyal dog. He really does melt the hearts of everyone that comes into contact with him. Dylan loves balls & can always be found walking around with one in his mouth, he is fabulous with other dogs & children. He has now found the most wonderful forever home with such a lovely family in Orsett, Essex where he shares his life with a miniature Schnauzer who he loves dearly. He is spoiled rotten which he deserves so much & enjoys the endless amounts of love, attention, warmth & walks he gets. Dylan really is that one in a million.
Jake
Jake is now living in his new home, and all at Rottie Rehab would like to wish him and his new family all the very best for the future.
Summer
Summer is now happily settled into a new and loving home in Northampton, including the resident cat. She is enjoying regular visits from other family dogs, and we have been promised some new pictures of her soon. So watch this space! The very best for the future for Summer and her new family.
Barney
Barney (or Barney Bear as he became affecionately known) is now bouncing around the garden of brilliant new home. Along with his new family, German Shepherd buddy, Rhys, and several cats, we have been told he is loving his new life. As with all our Rotties we will post more photo's and info after our follow up visit in the near future. We wish Barney, Rhys, and their family all the very best.
Govenor & General
We are all over the moon that not only have these gentle giants been re-homed but we also succeeded in keeping the two of them together. They are getting along brilliantly in Surrey with a young couple who absolutely adore them. We get regular updates & photos of their progress. It gives us so much satisfaction to see them happy. All the best to them and their new owners for the future.
What can we say - but these are the best dogs in the world in everyway possible! Double the work but double the reward!! They have settled in very well and very quickly, despite the odd occasion of eating the bin and dropping their bones right on your toes they have already proven to be the most loveable and loyal dogs we have ever known!
Although one of them (governor) found it hard to play nice with smaller dogs and listen to his mum after the odd training session for both mum and dog from Georgie they have seen great improvements and back in the park enjoying their walks! Big Thanks to Georgie and Rottie Rehab not just for our two gorgeous healthy boys but for all the help, guidance and visits along the way. Something not expected but greatly appreciated.

George is now in a lovely new home. We are really pleased and wish him and his new owners all the best for the future.
Widget (on the left)
Widget is an approximately 4 year old Rottie cross who came into Rottie Rehab in May2010. Widget was a stray who had been very badly neglected & she had been in a dogs home for months. When we saw her we just couldn't leave without her. This little girl has the most loyal, loving nature & follows you everywhere, all she wants to do is to please. She loves toys & would have you throwing a toy for her all day if she could. Widget also loves to swim & retrieves toys from rivers & lakes without hesitation, she is very obedient both on & off the lead. Widget is great with other dogs & children. We are thrilled to say that Widget has found a fabulous new home on a farm with a rescue German Shepherd in Devon & she is in seventh heaven! This is what they had to say about Widget....
We wanted to let you know how Widget is settling in with us. She's been with us here in Devon since June and she's such a fabulous little dog. She settled in with us very quickly & she loves to be involved in everything we do, including the hay making in the Summer! She loves her long walks in the fields & woods on the farm and she went camping with us in Cornwall in September. She's such a calm, quiet little girl and she's a perfect companion for my GSD Kaiser who is very nervous. She loves everyone she meets, especially if they happen to have some food! We took her to a dog show in August and were so proud of her when she came second as best rescue bitch. She's such a lovely girl- thank you so much for letting us have her - we can't imagine life without her now.

Mitzi (previously Martha)
We found Mitzi for Elissa & Rainer at another rescue centre & we were thrilled to be able to assist in finding her such a wonderful forever home. We wish her and her new family all the best for the future. Here's what they had to say about Mitzi....
She's settled in very well in the three or so months we've had her and is a real joy. She was rather wary of both us and other people at first, though she loved Oskar (our elderly cat) from the start and has always got on well with the local dog population. Now though she is so much better that people constantly tell us what a different dog she is. We're really proud of her and love her to bits. Loves - going anywhere in the car and especially to the pub when we go for lunch, or to the seaside if we take her to our caravan, going for walks and haring round the fields after anything we'll throw for her, playing with her ball in the garden, lying upside down waiting for belly rubs, and last but not least lots of cuddles. We're only too happy to oblige!

Lucy
After Lucys previous owner sadly passed away, we are all really pleased that she is once again in a happy and loving home. We all wish Lucy and her new family all our best wishes for their future together.
Vinny
Happily Vinny has now been rehomed. Thank you to everyone involved in finding him somewhere special to live.
Shadow
Shadow came to Rottie Rehab from a couple whose work commitments meant they just didn't have the time for a big dog. This 15 month old is a lovely, cuddly, playful chap who loves people & other dogs & likes nothing more than to bound up to them to play. Shadow has been lucky in finding a fabulous new home in Southampton with Martin who is self employed so Shadow goes everywhere with him. If he's not helping Martin with his work at home, they are either out exploring the countryside or Shadows jumping into the nearest lake for a swim. Now for a dog that we were told hated water you will see from the photos below that this has now changed thanks to Shadows bestest buddy who is a wire haired Hungarian Vizla! Shadow now lives life to the full & is immensely happy.
Roscoe
Roscoe came to us in May 2010 as a 4 year old stray, he had been in kennels for 3 months & we had been told he was aggressive towards people & dogs. It turned out that Roscoe just hated being in kennels, when we put him in a home environment he was one of the softest dogs we had ever had. He also loved to run around & play with other dogs. Roscoe was only with us for three days before being adopted by a lovely couple in Exeter who already had a female Rottie & just lost their male. They fell in love with Roscoe immediately & he has settled in to their lives instantly, getting cuddles at every opportunity & loves having a girlfriend to play with. Roscoe also has lots of lovely walks & places to explore near where he lives. This is what they had to say about Roscoe.....
Roscoe's a smashing boy, full of character we love him to bits and wouldn't be without him many thanks.

Cruz
Cruz came to us as a 2/3 year old stray in March 2010. This gorgeous little man was very unsure about anything life had to offer, he never wagged his tail & didn't know how to play with toys. He gradually began to trust us, all he wanted was to love someone & be loved unconditionally in return. Gradually he started to come out of his shell. In May 2010 he found the perfect home in a village in Penzance with a lovely couple who could give him the love & attention he deserved. Well what can we say...this little chap is so happy now that he wags not only his tail but his whole body from the time he gets up to the time he goes to bed & as for playing with toys well he runs around their lounge throwing toys up in the air like a puppy. Cruz goes for lots of walks & loves the beach, everyone who meets him falls in love with him. He is a very, very special boy. This is what they had to say about Cruz......
We have had him for nearly 6 months,we had had Cruz for 2 months when my father was taken ill in the Channel Islands and my wife and I set off to go and see him and of course took Cruz with us. Once we arrived in Guernsey he meet my son and grand children, we were not to sure how he was going to be with them but our worries were soon over as he took to them like a duck takes to water,he and they spent the next 2 hours playing in the garden of my sons house, we had never seen him with children before but what a joy to watch seeing him and the kids play, The next part of the journey was also a bit of a worry as he then had to take a flight on a aeroplane this time he had to have a seat in the cabin but good old Cruz never let us down he just jumped in to the plane and sat next to my wife and spent the entire flight looking out the window, Cruz then spent the next 2 months on the Island of Alderney with my wife and my 86 year old mother who regularly took him for walks with no lead his recall was very good and he never bothered with other dogs, because of the nature of my work I was back and forward to Alderney and enjoyed my time with him taking him for walks he was the only Rottweiller on the Island and when ever my wife or I were in the small town people would stop and say you,re the one with the rottweiller what a lovely dog, he even got his picture in the local paper so fame for Cruz, My wife and I would like to say a big thank you to you for allowing us to have him he has brought the sparkle back into my wife`s eyes since loosing our last dog just before Christmas last year, and all who met him in the Channel Islands his best friend on Alderney was a red setter called Fin whom he met walked and played with nearly every day, We just cant believe that Cruz was just a day away from death when you rescued him this would have been a disaster to put this dog down, Georgina keep up the good work that you do for this breed of dog because with out you we think a lot of good dogs would be lost, Many many Thanks again.

Heidi
Heidi came to us in May 2010 at 4 years old from a family who had her from a puppy but were moving abroad & couldn't take her or their other Rottie, Evan, (who went back to the Rescue he came from) with them. This stunning girl has now found a loving home with a wonderful family in Kent who also have a terrier & a spaniel for her to play with. Everyone adores Heidi, she has settled in really well & loves running around the huge garden. Since finding her forever home Rottie Rehab have been able to help rehome Evan to this home also bringing both dogs back together again which is such a lovely ending for them both. They certainly have landed on their feet as they both want for nothing & are lucky enough to have alot of time & effort put into them especially as Evan has some health issues.
They have both settled in completely and it’s like they’ve been with us forever. Evan is a big soppy lump and loves cuddles, he even cuddles you back when you rub his belly. He loves to play and after a lot of work he now has a bum. We’ve managed to build up his weight and muscle tone on his back legs which in turn makes his life far more comfortable. He’s not supposed to run but try telling him that.
A funny story for you. I take the dogs out in the dark over the common opposite where I live and attach one of those headlights to him and Heidi so I can see where they are in the dark. A month or so ago I took the dogs over and was walking over a built up path through the peat bogs when I heard running hooves coming towards me so I turned on my headlight only to see 12 horses running towards me, they went either side of me and at the rear was Evan. He had decided that it would be fun to bring the horses to see me. He loves herding the horses and cows that are allowed on the common. You can’t change genetics.
Heidi has changed massively since we first got her in that she now insists on cuddles, as the photo’s show. My daughter has just had her baby, 28th December, and was living with us till last weekend and Heidi used to fret if he cried and is brilliant with little man, as are all of the dogs. She is still very vocal but everyone has got used to the fact that her being vocal is the same as a cat purring although it can un nerve people not used to her. She has also learned that if she is in a situation where she doesn’t like the attention she will bark, to stop the attention, and quickly remove herself from the situation.
As you can see from the above the pair of them have slotted into our way of doing things like they belong and I can safely say that I will definitely continue to have Rottweiler’s for as long as I have dogs as it clearly isn’t the breed that has the problem but the people that own the breed that cause the problems.

Oscar
Oscar came to Rottie Rehab in March 2010 as a stray at approximately 10 months old. He was very thin when he came in but with some good food inside him, fun walks & lots of playing in the garden with his mates he soon gained muscle & started to fill out. Oscar's a real character & what he lacks in stature he makes up for in personality. In May 2010 he found a great home in Cornwall with Mawgan who has just left the army so no doubt he & Oscar will be keeping fit together. He is also living with three collies & another male Rottie.
Bruno
Bruno is a stunning 18 month old male who is castrated, fully vaccinated & microchipped. This is a truly stunning dog who came in originally as a stray. He is full of energy, loves to play with toys & go for walks where he can have fun & explore new smells. Bruno walks well on the lead & is very keen to learn. He is good with most dogs as long as they are not too dominant with him. As a stray, we have no record as to what Bruno is like with children so he would be better suited to a home with adults or a family with older children. Bruno loves his cuddles & playing so needs a home where someone is going to be around to give it to him & the ongoing training that every young dog needs.
Happily, Bruno is now living with his new family. Including several other four legged friends. One of which is our very own Rottie Rehab success story Oscar!

Tia
Tia came to us in April 2010 at approximately 3 years old. She had been living in a bedsit with someone completely unsuitable. She was very overweight & had a bad limp due to a shoulder injury. Tia was only with us for a week before being spotted by a lovely family on Hayling Island in Hampshire. She has such a calm & loving personality they fell in love with her immediately & she now lives in their beautiful house, with a deaf Staffie, where the garden gate opens on to the beach. I'm sure when they have had her for a while they will send us a comment.
Rocko
Rocko came to us in December 2009 at 12 months old having already had 4 homes. His owners couldn't cope with him any more in a small house, having young children & unaware of the dog's needs so gave him up for adoption. Rocko fitted in well at Rottie Rehab & loved being part of a pack & with a bit of direction soon found his feet. Rocko was rehomed to a lovely retired couple in Southampton. This is what they have said about Rocko....
We got Rocko from Rottie Rehab in January this year. He was only with Rottie Rehab for a short time. When we first got him he had unknown attitude problems but with Rottie Rehab's help, TLC & patience he has become, in a short space of time, the most loving & surprising dog, well worth all the effort!!

Murphy
Murphy came to us in October 2009 from a home that couldn't keep him any longer as they were moving somewhere that didn't allow dogs. Poor little Murphy had lots of energy & although he was great with children & other dogs every time we rehomed him (4 times in total) he came back because people couldn't cope with his energy levels even after being warned! In December 2009 Murphy found the perfect home with Simon & Nina who work with dogs so Murphy is out all day running around with lots of other dogs & upside down on the sofa in the evening or chewing something up! This is what they had to say about Murphy.....
We pretty much fell in love with Murphy at first sight. He's a big bundle of mischieveous fun which means if you can't find something, there's a good chance Murphy's got it.....or buried it! He can be amazingly gentle & up for a cuddle one moment & roaring aound the house with someone's sock the next. You don't get a quiet life with a young Rottie but get it right & he will adore you & you will be utterly faithfull to him!!

Connor
Connor came to us in October 2009 at approx 6 years old having been found wandering the streets of Swansea. He was in a very poor state of health, he was very thin, had a skin allergy & you could see right through to his skin. He had had his ears cut off with a pair of scissors & he was very wobbly on his legs. Connor went to a specialist to discover that his problem was neurological & would probably mean he would lose the use of his legs in a couple of years. In the meantime, as long as he had quality of life he deserved every opportunity. Despite his condition & the extreme case of cruelty, he loved people, all he wanted was affection. Connor started gaining weight & muscle quickly but we thought we would have to keep him as his future was so uncertain, nobody would want him. Until one day Connor met Lesley. Now he is up to weight, has a beautiful coat & he is looked after & loved more than you could know. This is what Lesley had to say about Connor....
When I first saw Connor I fell in love! He came into my house and pee'd on the carpet. I knew instantly he was marking out his territory and wanted him to come and live with me. He is an absolute joy in our lives. He was ready to fall in love with a human and accept lots and lots of loving. Thats not to say we have not had to teach him some manners and some issues remain unresolved to date. He has bad manners around meeting other dogs when on a lead but is learning and the once terrifying moment of meeting another dog has now become a teaching oppurtunity. He did not know how to play and although he shows no interest in a ball (well who can blame him!) he does now play with us and has destroyed every cuddly toy. His once aggressive possessive streak is slowly disappearing and we do occasionally get to win the toy off him! Watching this once abused and neglected dog transform into a playful family pet is a joy.

Freddie - (on behalf of Linton Kennels)
SPECIAL NEEDS CASE - Freddie is a lovely rottie male, aprox 2-3yrs. Has major problems with his back legs, arthritis which makes him a semi cripple and he will be on medication for the rest of his life, what there may be of it. Fantastic temperment but a home with no young children will be required so no knocks or accidents to his back legs. Is there anyone out there who would give this dog a good life for the few years he may have, he doesnt deserve to be in a rescue. Handed in as the people were moving and couldn't take him. Good with most dogs (no dominant males), cats etc. THIS IS NOT A ROTTIE REHAB DOG SO PLEASE CONTACT LINTON KENNELS DIRECT ON 01559 362367 - Freddie has now found a home which will give him the medical attention he needs.
