Ellie
Ellie came to Rottie Rehab on 19 March 2011 from a lady that was moving & was unable to keep her. Ellie is 3 years old, she is spayed, fully vaccinated & microchipped. She is great with other dogs, cats & children & once she gets to know you will follow you to the end of the earth. Ellie was being fostered in Bristol by Clair, an ex vet nurse, who has another female Rottie, Nellie & a Spaniel, Maisie. This clever little Rottie fell in love with Clair from day one & would be really naughty every time a potential new owner would come to meet her to ensure that they wouldn't take her away! So, just as Ellie had planned all along, Ellie decided that Clair would adopt her & give her the forever home she wanted with her pals Nellie & Maisie. Rotties are far smarter than we give them credit for sometimes!!!!
Floyd
Floyd came to us in June 2010, he had been handed in to the RSPCA in London. At 9 months old he was very underweight. We rehomed him in Devon but unfortunately the family's situation changed so he has come back to us.
Floyd has gone to a lovely family in Chippenham, Wiltshire where he has made himself very much at home. This cheeky chap is not a morning boy so will often be found still asleep on the sofa well after everyone else has got up but he is loved very much & is keeping up with his cheeky antics which makes him the adorable chap that he is. We wish Floyd & his family many years of happiness together.

Zeus
Zeus, a 4 year old male Rottie, came to us from Lancashire on 23 March 2011, he had been in kennels for 5 months as his owner no longer wanted him through no fault of his own & he was losing weight rapidly as he was very stressed being in there. He is a gorgeous boy who loves to play & have cuddles, he is incredibly loyal & affectionate but needed a home that understands big breeds as he would push the boundaries given half a chance.
Zeus has now found happiness with a lovely couple in Coventry who are used to large breeds & are giving him the love, care, kindness & understanding this gorgeous boy deserves. Zeus has been on his first holiday to the beach already with his new owners, he was very well behaved & had a fantastic time digging holes in the sand, getting wet & helping anyone who needed it to eat their ice creams! We wish them many years of happiness together.

Humphrey (previously Leon)
Humphrey (or Humph to his friends) came to Rottie Rehab at 14 months old because he needed a better life. He was living outside in the cold with no one to play or socialise with. Although he wasn't house trained or had mixed with other dogs he settled beautifully into a fabulous foster home with another of our adopted Rotties Kesh, a female Rottie Bella & a grumpy Jack Russell called Biscuit. Thanks to the familys wonderful work with him, he was house trained within two days & learning all the basic commands very well. He is very eager to learn, loves to please & is the biggest cuddle monster about. Because he has had no previous training he is like a 12 week old puppy in an adults body! A huge thank you to his foster family Dean, Sally, Nick, Andy, Hannah & Emma, oh & the Nans who have given him such a wonderful start to his new life.
Humph is now in a wonderful forever home in Tavistock with Jackie & Nick, Theo (a partially sighted Shih Tzu), 3 cats & Norman & Daisy (the pigmy goats). He is having a great time learning & experiencing new things every day. He is quite obsessed with the goats & cats so that training is quite slow but progress is being made (although I think Jackie & Nick are more tired than Humph!). Humphrey is making lots of new friends on his daily outings on the moor & in Tavistock town centre where he also walks regularly, he also loves to play with his four legged friends that live next door. He has also enrolled at dog training classes & is behaving beautifully (although selective hearing during recall seems to be quite common but lets face it, its far more fun to play with the other class mates than do as your told eh!)

Max
Max came into Rottie Rehab on 23 November 2010 from a lady with four children who had become too ill to look after him. He is a lovely 23 month old, small, male Rottie with dark markings who is quite nervous until he gets to know you. He is fabulous with children of all ages & other dogs. Max was only with us for a short while before finding a super home in Witney with a lovely couple who have small female Boxer called Cally but who had unfortunately just lost their last Rottie only recently. Max has settled in to his new home & enjoying playing with Cally & living life to the full. We are kept updated regularly & are told that he's coming on leaps & bounds & learning every day. Although we know Max will never replace their previous Rottie we hope he fills a huge gap in their lives.
Buddy
This is Buddy. He is approximately 12 months old. He is very small for a male Rottie. As you can see he is now happily living in his foster home with the other dogs after being very poorly with Kennel Cough. Buddy has been badly let down in his short life and we took him from a pound where he was picked up as a stray. Little Buddy was never claimed so he was on the 'Put To Sleep' list. We are now thrilled to announce that Buddy has been adopted by a wonderful couple in Bradley Stoke who already have a small female Rottie called Morgan. Buddy has come out of his shell so much since he met Morgan, they love to do everything together including wanting to lay on their dad's lap in the evening. He has a lovely garden to play in & this quiet household has been just perfect for Buddy to gain in confidence. We couldn't have hoped for a better home for him. We wish the four of them a wonderful life together.
Kesh
Kesh came to us on 24 September 2010 from London. He was living in an alley way at the side of a shop with no shelter or company. This stunning boy has the most amazing temperament & is very laid back & loving, he adore tennis balls & cuddles.Happily Kesh is now living with a wonderful new family, a lovely Rottie bitch called Bella & a grumpy Jack Russell called Biscuit in Melksham, Wiltshire. He has settled in really well & is enjoying his new life in a warm house & huge garden enormously. We at Rottie Rehab would all like to wish him and all his new family members the very best for the future. We hope they will all be very happy.

Storm
Storm is 3 years old bitch and came in with Harley due to a marriage break up. She has been brought up in a very loving home and is a very well balanced sweet natured dog. She is a joy to walk on the lead and her recall off lead is perfect. She has been excellent with every dog she has met and is very easy going. She adores cuddles and does a little dance when you stroke her back! Storm has now been adopted by a couple in Wokingham & she is now enjoying life with her new family.
We adopted Lexi in June 2010 and really fell for her cheekiness and affectionate nature that it wasn't long before we were ready to adopt another friendly little girl. After spending time with a local Rottie dog fosterer we began to see Storm in her care very often and loved her cool, calm and well balanced nature. It wasn't long before we decided Storm would be a great addition to the family and the perfect companion for our young rottie. Storm and Lexi have really started bonding well together. Lexi being only 15mths old looks up to her big sister Storm and is learning a lot from her daily. They love nothing better than to chase each other in the park, wrestle each other playfully and go to their dog class on Monday where Storm is showing her talents off by distracting everyone with her marching dance moves and not accepting anything less than garlic chicken or beef treats!
As you can see from the pictures the girls love their doggie beds and sometimes Storm will allow Lexi to share her bed which is lovely to see. They both love cuddles and are often seen snuggled up by resting their chins on your legs if you sit down on the rug. Storm loves the Dog Whisperer and will run up to the T.V. and cry when she see's any kind of animal, she also loves to watch football in front of the T.V with her daddy. As for the snow and going out in the car both girls love this and we spend as much time as possible taking them to new places and watching them play happily together. Storm is really now beginning to trust Lexi and more often nowadays they can be seen snuggled up together which is great to see. They get to see their other foster rottie friends and enjoy pack walks so their social life is really taking off.
Thanks again for the great job you do in finding new forever homes for gorgeous dogs like Storm, she has made our family complete and I hope other dogs in your care are lucky enough to capture the hearts of a new potential families as they all deserve a happy loving forever home.

Missie
This is Missie. She is an 18 month old bitch who's family have had to hand her in due to housing problems. Missie has been raised with very young children and we are told she is excellent with all of them. Missie went into a foster home on arrival & is described by her foster Mum as the perfect guest. She is living in the house with very young children which she was used to from her previous home, and is very gentle and loving with all of them. She is also living with another male Rottie who is getting on in years. She is very loving with him also and they share the same bed. But he doesn't want to play as much as she does! We are thrilled to hear that Missie's foster mum has decided to adopt her & so she will be staying in her in Milton Keynes home that she has got to know, which is always great news. Missie is now called Jessie. We wish her & her new family a fabulous life together.
Harley
Harley, a stunning 5 year old male Rottie, came to us in July 2010 with his 3 year old sister Storm due to a marriage break up. He has been brought up in a very loving home and is a fabulous chunky male with great bloodlines, he gets on well with other dogs & is quite happy pottering around doing his own thing. All at Rottie Rehab are pleased to say that Harley has now found a new home with a lovely couple in Swindon who also have a beautiful rescue Greyhound called Suzi who Harley loves. We know he will make a great addition to the family and would like to wish them all a very happy future together.
Harley has fitted right into our household, he's a great friend to Suzie our greyhound and he loves playing with his toys and going for walks. He's a great guard dog and nobody can get near our house without him letting us know but on the other hand he loves lots of cuddles from us. And on top of all that we found out he has another talent, he likes to sing (howl) along to Michael Buble!

Tara
Tara is now in a very happy home. We would like to wish all the best for her future with her new family.
Dylan
Dylan came to us on 05 August 2010. He had such a lonely life in a wood yard with no shelter & just a plastic bottle that he used to roll down a slope then go to the bottom, pick it up & go back to the top & do it again....no life for such an intelligent breed. Dylan is an incredibly stunning, large, gentle, incredibly loving & loyal dog. He really does melt the hearts of everyone that comes into contact with him. Dylan loves balls & can always be found walking around with one in his mouth, he is fabulous with other dogs & children. He has now found the most wonderful forever home with such a lovely family in Orsett, Essex where he shares his life with a miniature Schnauzer who he loves dearly. He is spoiled rotten which he deserves so much & enjoys the endless amounts of love, attention, warmth & walks he gets. Dylan really is that one in a million.
Jake
Jake is now living in his new home, and all at Rottie Rehab would like to wish him and his new family all the very best for the future.
Summer
Summer is now happily settled into a new and loving home in Northampton, including the resident cat. She is enjoying regular visits from other family dogs, and we have been promised some new pictures of her soon. So watch this space! The very best for the future for Summer and her new family.
Barney
Barney (or Barney Bear as he became affecionately known) is now bouncing around the garden of brilliant new home. Along with his new family, German Shepherd buddy, Rhys, and several cats, we have been told he is loving his new life. As with all our Rotties we will post more photo's and info after our follow up visit in the near future. We wish Barney, Rhys, and their family all the very best.
Govenor & General
We are all over the moon that not only have these gentle giants been re-homed but we also succeeded in keeping the two of them together. They are getting along brilliantly in Surrey with a young couple who absolutely adore them. We get regular updates & photos of their progress. It gives us so much satisfaction to see them happy. All the best to them and their new owners for the future.
What can we say - but these are the best dogs in the world in everyway possible! Double the work but double the reward!! They have settled in very well and very quickly, despite the odd occasion of eating the bin and dropping their bones right on your toes they have already proven to be the most loveable and loyal dogs we have ever known!
Although one of them (governor) found it hard to play nice with smaller dogs and listen to his mum after the odd training session for both mum and dog from Georgie they have seen great improvements and back in the park enjoying their walks! Big Thanks to Georgie and Rottie Rehab not just for our two gorgeous healthy boys but for all the help, guidance and visits along the way. Something not expected but greatly appreciated.

George is now in a lovely new home. We are really pleased and wish him and his new owners all the best for the future.
Widget (on the left)
Widget is an approximately 4 year old Rottie cross who came into Rottie Rehab in May2010. Widget was a stray who had been very badly neglected & she had been in a dogs home for months. When we saw her we just couldn't leave without her. This little girl has the most loyal, loving nature & follows you everywhere, all she wants to do is to please. She loves toys & would have you throwing a toy for her all day if she could. Widget also loves to swim & retrieves toys from rivers & lakes without hesitation, she is very obedient both on & off the lead. Widget is great with other dogs & children. We are thrilled to say that Widget has found a fabulous new home on a farm with a rescue German Shepherd in Devon & she is in seventh heaven! This is what they had to say about Widget....
We wanted to let you know how Widget is settling in with us. She's been with us here in Devon since June and she's such a fabulous little dog. She settled in with us very quickly & she loves to be involved in everything we do, including the hay making in the Summer! She loves her long walks in the fields & woods on the farm and she went camping with us in Cornwall in September. She's such a calm, quiet little girl and she's a perfect companion for my GSD Kaiser who is very nervous. She loves everyone she meets, especially if they happen to have some food! We took her to a dog show in August and were so proud of her when she came second as best rescue bitch. She's such a lovely girl- thank you so much for letting us have her - we can't imagine life without her now.

Mitzi (previously Martha)
We found Mitzi for Elissa & Rainer at another rescue centre & we were thrilled to be able to assist in finding her such a wonderful forever home. We wish her and her new family all the best for the future. Here's what they had to say about Mitzi....
She's settled in very well in the three or so months we've had her and is a real joy. She was rather wary of both us and other people at first, though she loved Oskar (our elderly cat) from the start and has always got on well with the local dog population. Now though she is so much better that people constantly tell us what a different dog she is. We're really proud of her and love her to bits. Loves - going anywhere in the car and especially to the pub when we go for lunch, or to the seaside if we take her to our caravan, going for walks and haring round the fields after anything we'll throw for her, playing with her ball in the garden, lying upside down waiting for belly rubs, and last but not least lots of cuddles. We're only too happy to oblige!

Lucy
After Lucys previous owner sadly passed away, we are all really pleased that she is once again in a happy and loving home. We all wish Lucy and her new family all our best wishes for their future together.
Vinny
Happily Vinny has now been rehomed. Thank you to everyone involved in finding him somewhere special to live.
Shadow
Shadow came to Rottie Rehab from a couple whose work commitments meant they just didn't have the time for a big dog. This 15 month old is a lovely, cuddly, playful chap who loves people & other dogs & likes nothing more than to bound up to them to play. Shadow has been lucky in finding a fabulous new home in Southampton with Martin who is self employed so Shadow goes everywhere with him. If he's not helping Martin with his work at home, they are either out exploring the countryside or Shadows jumping into the nearest lake for a swim. Now for a dog that we were told hated water you will see from the photos below that this has now changed thanks to Shadows bestest buddy who is a wire haired Hungarian Vizla! Shadow now lives life to the full & is immensely happy.
Roscoe
Roscoe came to us in May 2010 as a 4 year old stray, he had been in kennels for 3 months & we had been told he was aggressive towards people & dogs. It turned out that Roscoe just hated being in kennels, when we put him in a home environment he was one of the softest dogs we had ever had. He also loved to run around & play with other dogs. Roscoe was only with us for three days before being adopted by a lovely couple in Exeter who already had a female Rottie & just lost their male. They fell in love with Roscoe immediately & he has settled in to their lives instantly, getting cuddles at every opportunity & loves having a girlfriend to play with. Roscoe also has lots of lovely walks & places to explore near where he lives. This is what they had to say about Roscoe.....
Roscoe's a smashing boy, full of character we love him to bits and wouldn't be without him many thanks.

Cruz
Cruz came to us as a 2/3 year old stray in March 2010. This gorgeous little man was very unsure about anything life had to offer, he never wagged his tail & didn't know how to play with toys. He gradually began to trust us, all he wanted was to love someone & be loved unconditionally in return. Gradually he started to come out of his shell. In May 2010 he found the perfect home in a village in Penzance with a lovely couple who could give him the love & attention he deserved. Well what can we say...this little chap is so happy now that he wags not only his tail but his whole body from the time he gets up to the time he goes to bed & as for playing with toys well he runs around their lounge throwing toys up in the air like a puppy. Cruz goes for lots of walks & loves the beach, everyone who meets him falls in love with him. He is a very, very special boy. This is what they had to say about Cruz......
We have had him for nearly 6 months,we had had Cruz for 2 months when my father was taken ill in the Channel Islands and my wife and I set off to go and see him and of course took Cruz with us. Once we arrived in Guernsey he meet my son and grand children, we were not to sure how he was going to be with them but our worries were soon over as he took to them like a duck takes to water,he and they spent the next 2 hours playing in the garden of my sons house, we had never seen him with children before but what a joy to watch seeing him and the kids play, The next part of the journey was also a bit of a worry as he then had to take a flight on a aeroplane this time he had to have a seat in the cabin but good old Cruz never let us down he just jumped in to the plane and sat next to my wife and spent the entire flight looking out the window, Cruz then spent the next 2 months on the Island of Alderney with my wife and my 86 year old mother who regularly took him for walks with no lead his recall was very good and he never bothered with other dogs, because of the nature of my work I was back and forward to Alderney and enjoyed my time with him taking him for walks he was the only Rottweiller on the Island and when ever my wife or I were in the small town people would stop and say you,re the one with the rottweiller what a lovely dog, he even got his picture in the local paper so fame for Cruz, My wife and I would like to say a big thank you to you for allowing us to have him he has brought the sparkle back into my wife`s eyes since loosing our last dog just before Christmas last year, and all who met him in the Channel Islands his best friend on Alderney was a red setter called Fin whom he met walked and played with nearly every day, We just cant believe that Cruz was just a day away from death when you rescued him this would have been a disaster to put this dog down, Georgina keep up the good work that you do for this breed of dog because with out you we think a lot of good dogs would be lost, Many many Thanks again.

Heidi
Heidi came to us in May 2010 at 4 years old from a family who had her from a puppy but were moving abroad & couldn't take her or their other Rottie, Evan, (who went back to the Rescue he came from) with them. This stunning girl has now found a loving home with a wonderful family in Kent who also have a terrier & a spaniel for her to play with. Everyone adores Heidi, she has settled in really well & loves running around the huge garden. Since finding her forever home Rottie Rehab have been able to help rehome Evan to this home also bringing both dogs back together again which is such a lovely ending for them both. They certainly have landed on their feet as they both want for nothing & are lucky enough to have alot of time & effort put into them especially as Evan has some health issues.
They have both settled in completely and it’s like they’ve been with us forever. Evan is a big soppy lump and loves cuddles, he even cuddles you back when you rub his belly. He loves to play and after a lot of work he now has a bum. We’ve managed to build up his weight and muscle tone on his back legs which in turn makes his life far more comfortable. He’s not supposed to run but try telling him that.
A funny story for you. I take the dogs out in the dark over the common opposite where I live and attach one of those headlights to him and Heidi so I can see where they are in the dark. A month or so ago I took the dogs over and was walking over a built up path through the peat bogs when I heard running hooves coming towards me so I turned on my headlight only to see 12 horses running towards me, they went either side of me and at the rear was Evan. He had decided that it would be fun to bring the horses to see me. He loves herding the horses and cows that are allowed on the common. You can’t change genetics.
Heidi has changed massively since we first got her in that she now insists on cuddles, as the photo’s show. My daughter has just had her baby, 28th December, and was living with us till last weekend and Heidi used to fret if he cried and is brilliant with little man, as are all of the dogs. She is still very vocal but everyone has got used to the fact that her being vocal is the same as a cat purring although it can un nerve people not used to her. She has also learned that if she is in a situation where she doesn’t like the attention she will bark, to stop the attention, and quickly remove herself from the situation.
As you can see from the above the pair of them have slotted into our way of doing things like they belong and I can safely say that I will definitely continue to have Rottweiler’s for as long as I have dogs as it clearly isn’t the breed that has the problem but the people that own the breed that cause the problems.

Oscar
Oscar came to Rottie Rehab in March 2010 as a stray at approximately 10 months old. He was very thin when he came in but with some good food inside him, fun walks & lots of playing in the garden with his mates he soon gained muscle & started to fill out. Oscar's a real character & what he lacks in stature he makes up for in personality. In May 2010 he found a great home in Cornwall with Mawgan who has just left the army so no doubt he & Oscar will be keeping fit together. He is also living with three collies & another male Rottie.
Bruno
Bruno is a stunning 18 month old male who is castrated, fully vaccinated & microchipped. This is a truly stunning dog who came in originally as a stray. He is full of energy, loves to play with toys & go for walks where he can have fun & explore new smells. Bruno walks well on the lead & is very keen to learn. He is good with most dogs as long as they are not too dominant with him. As a stray, we have no record as to what Bruno is like with children so he would be better suited to a home with adults or a family with older children. Bruno loves his cuddles & playing so needs a home where someone is going to be around to give it to him & the ongoing training that every young dog needs.
Happily, Bruno is now living with his new family. Including several other four legged friends. One of which is our very own Rottie Rehab success story Oscar!

Tia
Tia came to us in April 2010 at approximately 3 years old. She had been living in a bedsit with someone completely unsuitable. She was very overweight & had a bad limp due to a shoulder injury. Tia was only with us for a week before being spotted by a lovely family on Hayling Island in Hampshire. She has such a calm & loving personality they fell in love with her immediately & she now lives in their beautiful house, with a deaf Staffie, where the garden gate opens on to the beach. I'm sure when they have had her for a while they will send us a comment.
Rocko
Rocko came to us in December 2009 at 12 months old having already had 4 homes. His owners couldn't cope with him any more in a small house, having young children & unaware of the dog's needs so gave him up for adoption. Rocko fitted in well at Rottie Rehab & loved being part of a pack & with a bit of direction soon found his feet. Rocko was rehomed to a lovely retired couple in Southampton. This is what they have said about Rocko....
We got Rocko from Rottie Rehab in January this year. He was only with Rottie Rehab for a short time. When we first got him he had unknown attitude problems but with Rottie Rehab's help, TLC & patience he has become, in a short space of time, the most loving & surprising dog, well worth all the effort!!

Murphy
Murphy came to us in October 2009 from a home that couldn't keep him any longer as they were moving somewhere that didn't allow dogs. Poor little Murphy had lots of energy & although he was great with children & other dogs every time we rehomed him (4 times in total) he came back because people couldn't cope with his energy levels even after being warned! In December 2009 Murphy found the perfect home with Simon & Nina who work with dogs so Murphy is out all day running around with lots of other dogs & upside down on the sofa in the evening or chewing something up! This is what they had to say about Murphy.....
We pretty much fell in love with Murphy at first sight. He's a big bundle of mischieveous fun which means if you can't find something, there's a good chance Murphy's got it.....or buried it! He can be amazingly gentle & up for a cuddle one moment & roaring aound the house with someone's sock the next. You don't get a quiet life with a young Rottie but get it right & he will adore you & you will be utterly faithfull to him!!

Connor
Connor came to us in October 2009 at approx 6 years old having been found wandering the streets of Swansea. He was in a very poor state of health, he was very thin, had a skin allergy & you could see right through to his skin. He had had his ears cut off with a pair of scissors & he was very wobbly on his legs. Connor went to a specialist to discover that his problem was neurological & would probably mean he would lose the use of his legs in a couple of years. In the meantime, as long as he had quality of life he deserved every opportunity. Despite his condition & the extreme case of cruelty, he loved people, all he wanted was affection. Connor started gaining weight & muscle quickly but we thought we would have to keep him as his future was so uncertain, nobody would want him. Until one day Connor met Lesley. Now he is up to weight, has a beautiful coat & he is looked after & loved more than you could know. This is what Lesley had to say about Connor....
When I first saw Connor I fell in love! He came into my house and pee'd on the carpet. I knew instantly he was marking out his territory and wanted him to come and live with me. He is an absolute joy in our lives. He was ready to fall in love with a human and accept lots and lots of loving. Thats not to say we have not had to teach him some manners and some issues remain unresolved to date. He has bad manners around meeting other dogs when on a lead but is learning and the once terrifying moment of meeting another dog has now become a teaching oppurtunity. He did not know how to play and although he shows no interest in a ball (well who can blame him!) he does now play with us and has destroyed every cuddly toy. His once aggressive possessive streak is slowly disappearing and we do occasionally get to win the toy off him! Watching this once abused and neglected dog transform into a playful family pet is a joy.

Freddie - (on behalf of Linton Kennels)
SPECIAL NEEDS CASE - Freddie is a lovely rottie male, aprox 2-3yrs. Has major problems with his back legs, arthritis which makes him a semi cripple and he will be on medication for the rest of his life, what there may be of it. Fantastic temperment but a home with no young children will be required so no knocks or accidents to his back legs. Is there anyone out there who would give this dog a good life for the few years he may have, he doesnt deserve to be in a rescue. Handed in as the people were moving and couldn't take him. Good with most dogs (no dominant males), cats etc. THIS IS NOT A ROTTIE REHAB DOG SO PLEASE CONTACT LINTON KENNELS DIRECT ON 01559 362367 - Freddie has now found a home which will give him the medical attention he needs.
